A national landmark — Worship beneath a luminous Mount Sinai

Our sanctuary is the only synagogue ever designed by Frank Lloyd Wright — a translucent pyramid of glass and light, conceived as a mountain of revelation lifting the prayers of our community toward heaven. Founded in 1918 in Philadelphia’s Logan neighborhood and named “house of peace” to honor the end of the First World War, Beth Sholom has gathered Jewish families in Elkins Park ever since. 1918 — Founded · 1 — the only Frank Lloyd Wright synagogue worldwide · 5+ generations gathered.
